WEDDING CHECKLIST The following is a list of suggested candids to serve as a guide for you and the photographer on your wedding day. This list is a very important tool to use to communicate your preferences, and those preferences will be observed as closely as possible. Please mark the box next to each item which describes a photo you would like to see in your preview album. It is important to know that all these poses are not possible to capture on film because of time and location restraints. Chip McGrath Photography can not guarantee any pose or be liable for any omissions of any participants. The following document will serve as "The Contract" between the YOU (we are contracting with the Bride) and Chip McGrath Photography. A word about TRADITION.... We respect your choice! Traditionally, the Bride and Groom have avoided seeing each other in their wedding attire before the ceremony. In recent years, many have chosen to observe this tradition in a different way. Many now prefer to set aside time before the ceremony for the Bride and Groom to share a special moment together. Immediately thereafter, formal portraits of the Bride and Groom are taken, as well as many other group pictures that previously were taken after the ceremony. Besides a more relaxed photography session, the guests and bridal party are usually grateful for the prompt appearance of the Bride and Groom at the reception. At the Bride's Home (or Church) before the ceremony, photos of the Bridal Preparations are taken. The beautifully posed and lighted photographs of the Bride, Bridesmaids, and Parents that will enhance your album are all taken prior to the wedding. It is important that ample time be given so that neither you nor the photographer are rushed. There are several factors that can be used to determine the time needed, such as distance to the Church, number of bridesmaids, additional relatives, and so on. Allow at least 90 minutes or two hours. Please arrange to have the flowers on hand before the photographer arrives. Delegate last minute details to individuals not directly involved in the Wedding. The bride should only be concerned with getting dressed and getting pictures. The list below is the basic chronological order in which we prefer to work. Note: We strongly urge that friends with cameras refrain from taking photographs during the ceremony and the formal photography session. This will avoid violating church rules and customs, and it will avoid multiplicity of flash which can tire and confuse everyone. Also, any flash can interfere with the photographer's lighting equipment, which will prolong the session. Permission should be secured in advance should pictures be desired during the ceremony. Please note any rules or restrictions here: Most ceremony poses can be staged after the actual ceremony has been completed.
